JiNan, uses her business expertise and legal experience to explain Intellectual Property and how to make them valuable assets/patents for your business. The concept of taking relatable/local companies and reviewing patents on how they problem solved to help foster/generate some creative solutions for yourself is pretty unique. You don't necessarily have to be a savant inventor to devise a profitable solution to a problem. Heck, some issues you solve could provide answers to others who don't even know they need a solution.There are a lot of great concepts in this book, which are a great asset for any business owner of any size (even if you're a freelancer).

If, like me, you’ve ever thought you identified a gap in the market and had an idea for a product but had no idea how to progress your ideas into reality then this book will come in very handy. I found it to provide lots of valuable information about patenting inventions, the do’s and don’ts, the where’s and how’s, of people that can actually help your dreams of being an inventing entrepreneur come to pass.JiNan George is an expert in her field and there isn’t much she doesn’t know about this business, which makes her the perfect candidate to offer help and advice to anyone wanting to transform their idea into a reality. The book was easy enough to read, and I didn’t find myself bogged down in jargon which is something I had feared. A very valuable read.

A must read for creators! This is an excellent overview for anyone who is considering creating a product or service of any kind. Even if you don’t think your ideas are patentable, if you are a creator (inventor, author, writer, coder) this book could save you a lot heartache later. I’ve had the benefit of working with JiNan and she is not just a great patent attorney (she is that) but she is also a capable partner and navigator who guided me and my co-founders through the complex IP process. Having a good idea is only one piece of the puzzle and if your puzzle is missing a piece it can lead to bad outcomes.In this book JiNan has boiled down her years of experience and expertise into a well written, easy to understand and interesting book.
